E46 diffs...325 diff into a 320d.....
This is something that I've thought about for a while but now as a friend is breaking a good 325i it has me thinking I might buy the diff and stick it in my 320d ;)
What I don't quite know is:
Can I just bolt it up and driveron...
Is it any better than the crappy diff that I have I.e. Does it drive both wheels instead of just one....
And if it's not a runner is there another standard type of diff that fits the bill...
Thanks :)

The gear ratio would be way off, you would have great acceleration but no top end speed.
No difference other than that, both are open diffs. The only E46 to get an LSD was the M3 afaik.
By the way your diff drives BOTH wheels, it will just spin one though.

I didn't know that! ...Thanks!
May keep a look for an m3 diff so :)

AFAIK, you would need the rear axel, hubs etc from a M3 for this to work. Would be an expensive mod :hehe!:
