E60 525d m sport 2008 for sale
Hi All,
I recently relocated back to Dublin with my BMW 525d M Sport (2008) which is one of the best examples you'll find in Dublin. I owned this car for 2 years (having lived 10 years in London) its in metallic blue/black combination with 19 inch M sport rims.
I'm exploring options of selling it here before having to ship it back to London for resale. This car has 91,500K miles (UK Import), needs VRT however has full BMW UK service history and Gary Doyle from Chelmsford Motors (BMW specialist) has maintained this car. Its got no error codes what so ever and was recently serviced, so there's no hidden issues (unlike most e60's). This car has every extra possible with full BMW loud sound system and iPhone/USB. I have 2 original car keys with all receipts from day of purchase in 2008.
Upgrades include Dynamic Drive, BMW Connected iDrive -Assist, Bluetooth Telephone preparation, Navigation System Professional Multimedia, Electric and auto dimming door mirrors, Dark Poplar wood trim, BMW professional radio/CD/MP3, USB/iPhone audio interface, Xenon headlights with Blue crew angle eyes upgrade, automatic headlight adjust, Dakota leather upholstery, Driver + front passenger electric lumbar support, Elec front seats+driver seat/door mirror memory, 19" Double spoke alloy wheels - style 172, Hi-fi loudspeaker system (£3000 extra) Heated front seats, Black Full leather Interior,
Standard Features - Anti-lock Brake System and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Automatic Stability Control (ASC), Dynamic Traction Control - DTC, M sports suspension, Cruise control, Front/rear Parking distance control, Tyre puncture warning system, Automatic dimming rear view mirror, Dual zone automatic air conditioning, Remote control Thatcham category 1 alarm.
Both keys just serviced at 90k, 2 former keepers, lovely condition very desirable black on blue Metallic paint combination. Its an Oct 2008 LCI, which means lower tax, MOT'd until Dec 2015 and the 525 is actually regarded as the best diesel e60 for overall performance and economy.
These cars are going for £11K GBP (€15,600 Euro) in the UK, if you consider the expense of logistics to get there and ship it back (guts of a grand), its worth every penny.
The car is 100% mechanically sound, however like any 7 yr old car it has some minor scratches and thanks to Ireland's crappy roads the front rims will need a refurb at some stage.

E60 525d m sport 2008 for sale
That's a nice car but there's no way it cost a grand to get a car from the UK. You can do it for less than €250, I've brought in a dozen or so cars from the UK at this stage.

Thanks for your interest, that's right NDV will transport your car back for around 250 however you have to fly there and back to see/drive the car (that's 150) you need to travel and pay to stay over night plus food and general costs....... It all adds up and there's the hassle of buying a car that needs work... Mine is 100% I spent 2k on the car over the past 2yrs getting it right and its got no services required until 10,000 miles.

People don't actually do that when buying from the UK though.
Ryanair early flight that morning.
Meet buyer.
You have already done the Hoi check and history check based on reg and vin number through the BMW network.
If happy with car, you drive to not and sail home that evening.
That's what I've done any time I went to the UK.
Flights are the cheapest part at sub €50 each and I always pay for 2 as I bring a mate or my cousin. The boat trip home is cut a €200.
Some fuel and food and you are looking at €400ish for bringing the car home.
Sorry, don't mean to derail the thread but point mentioning stuff like import costs on a forum dedicated to cars in my opinion as we've either all done it already or are aware of the costs and know they are not €1000 ;)
Anyway, car looks nice and should sell if priced properly.
The LCI 25d is a nice place to be especially with that newer 3.0 engine but vrt etc has to be allowed for also.

So am I but I'm guessing he is looking for €15600 as that's what he has compared it to in the UK.

Sorry guys I'm looking €15,500 - if I don't get the asking price I'll ship her back to the UK as Its actually worth more (thanks to the strength of the UK Pound) however I can't be bothered with all the hassle.... So I thought it might be worth exploring the Market beforehand.

Thanks for the detailed breakdown.... :) I said guts of a grand (not €1000) however I've had 3 BMWs in my life (X5 Le Mans been my favourite of all) and I like comfort so my flights are city jet or aerlingus hence the price of 150-200 - i never fly Ryanair and also note that a flight to standsted costs a fortune as the train to Liverpool steet is now 25GBP/35Euro one way!!! Also remember that the euro is worth nothing against the pound, so you'll feel it when spending in the UK!!!
The difference here is - this car is 100% mechanically sound and I've spent 2k on services which is important to add when purchasing these cars....
More people have been scammed when buying UK cars and you don't want a 1500 service bill in your first month of driving a car especially after paying VRT (which is illegal within EU as its double taxation - although protesting about water meters seems more important than having this illegal tax and USC charges been abolished)
RE: E60 525d m sport 2008 for sale
COMP is 15700€ And VRT is 4700€ . So all in 20k .and if buy it and pay vrt , for insurance company its valued at 15k !
