I know there are plenty of pre-facelift M3 Evos knocking about. As confusing as that is. But is there any facelift 3L M3s?
The launch of the Evo as used in the launch brochure used the pre facelift models. So afaik the 3 litre didn't make it into the facelift.

July/august 1995 saw the last of the 3.0 S50's come off the production line
Facelift was 01/1996 so very doubtfull theres any
I was always under the impression that the facelift and the 3.2 Evo was released at the same time to compliment each other. Its not like now adays where you get facelift ecterior but older engine etc (E60 520d f.e.)
I know this thread is a week old but my car is May 1996 so the facelift came after that. I always thought it was nearly 97 when the facelift model began.Quote:

Doh missed that my mistake take 2 minutes to change the grille though id always just class them as prefacelift 3.0 facelift 3.2 iv never seen a 3.0 over 95
The grills are a different shape. The facelift ones more a slant inwards so they don't sit properly in the pre-facelift hole. You have to change the nose panel to change the grill. I looked into it as I wanted to facelift mine but I just got grills to look like the facelift that fit into the holes.Quote:

I was in a phase of basically finding out every bit of E36 knowledge before. pity I never found a place to buy gurney flaps for my spoiler bar Oz. One day :sad:
