Lads,
What size tyre sizes are ye running front and rear?
What do ye find best suits?
Are ye lowered and how does that effect your choice?
What size do ye go for when stretching the rears?
Thanks

For non M e36 6 pots, I'm quite confident OEM is 225 rears 205 fronts.Quote:

To give you an idea. For the 17" e39 style 32s I have fronts are et 20 and rears are et26, the 8 inch fronts are supposed to be 235 , and 9 inch rears are supposed to be 255. Because of their et, if you put those size tyres the arches would actually be sitting on the tyres! To put them on an e36 you need 205 on the 8 inch fronts, and 215 on the 9 inch rears which would mean no rubbing and also that stretched tyre look.
The OEM style 25s that were on the car were 16" x 7 inches wide all round and they had 225 on back and 205 on front. et46.
Hope this is of some use to somebody..!
I run 225 45 17 fronts and 245 40 17 rears on both the 318is and M3.
On 16s on the 318is I used to always run 225 50 all round.
I was having some clearance issues if I hit a dip in the road with the wider rears but that should be sorted now
