RE: BMW Used Car Sourcing
As far as I know, some dealers could look for/source a particular model and spec in the UK. They'd have an in to the auctions and would know what was coming up. However, the current sterling rate is going in the wrong direction when converting from €'s.

RE: BMW Used Car Sourcing
Depends on the dealers and depends on the type of car. Certain main dealers will target cars in private adverts of specialist/rare cars to maintain stock of these types of cars. I had two English main dealers wanting to buy my last Z4M but they only offer trade value.
Your best bet is to contact a reputable independent dealer. They can source cars from the trade from a wider catchment.

If youre looking for something good quality with a strong history, John Walsh may be worth a bell to help you source within warranty. He is a gent, sources from all over and has super contacts. Hes a Cork guy based in London. http://www.jsw.gb.com/
RE: BMW Used Car Sourcing
A few years back the main dealers brought over a raft of ex UK cars, the Sterling Collection, when no one was buying new cars here. I suspect they may be less inclined to bother doing it now. Stg exchange rates and the fact that people are buying new again may mean they couldn't be bothered now, but it can do no harm to ask. However they likely do have access to the inventory of BMW UK Group businesses that coordinate some of the used car supply to dealers from BMW management cars, Finance, Leasing, etc. (this was the supply chain for Sterling Collection).

When I purchased my F10 last January I asked dealers about sourcing from the UK and even back then they were not interested due to exchange rate, was not worth their while.
