E60 bonnet gap
Hello
The bonnet of my E60 looks like this (apologies for the filthy car photos):

I have tried:
Adjusting these hooks up and down a bit (the rest of the bonnet is sitting flush with the wings so I don't think this part is the issue):

Adjusting these bump stop parts:

Loosening the bolts under this rubber part, pulling the whole front grille section upwards and then re-tightening the bolts:

None of these seem to make a difference and I can't see anything else that would be causing it. Has anyone else come across this before and is there something I am missing?
Many thanks.

The bonnet I'd say is fine - the bumper may have dropped (the large gap under the headlights would also possibly confirm this), so this may need to be adjusted instead. Possible cause is that someone may have bumped into it while you were parked.....

Thanks, I never really noticed the gap under the headlights until you pointed it out. Any suggestions for how I might go about adjusting the bumper?

I'm not overly familiar with the E60's, but a cursory google points to a fairly common/well documented issue - eg. https://5series.net/forums/diy-do-yo...olution-54559/
It seems the main issue is with the foam located behind the bumper degrading over time.
