There's one of this for sale for reasonable money but i'm sure it's for a 318i as it only has a single box not the second box like the 318is should have.
Would it fit and would it have any adverse effects?

edit, the seeing these pics side by side i can now see they're quite different! and the larger bore on the 318is exhaust.
If you are getting a back box you might as well go the whole hog and get a decat or better still get a straight bit of pipe the same diameter, cut out the cat, weld it and drive her on :)
No it will need to be welded. Pipe diameter is smaller.
