I was guna say m57, I rev mine out nearly on a daily basis and it never uses oil ever! Way better than any of my old petrol beemers. High up on the awesome list for he anyway!Quote:

M52 gets my vote, so good BMW de-tuned them so plenty of untapped power can be released relatively cheap!! :D
Isn't the F1 engine two S52b32s joined together?
Haven't driven enough or know enough about many of them but do like the S54 :cool:
M57 or M43, both great engines. If you looked after them, they'll look after you!

The m43 is a solid engine agreed. I ran mine for months years ago overheating and all. Still running fine, 20 years old engine now.Quote:
