The car was supplied and PDI’d by Godfrey Hall BMW and registered on a personal registration W3OPY to a Mr Woodward, a BMW enthusiast. The all-important running in service was:
Running in service @ 1359miles 07/09/2002 at Godfrey Hall BMW – supported by Inspection sheet
During Mr Woodward’s ownership the following maintenance and upkeep was lavished on this M3.
Oil Service & Micro Filter @ 12,128miles 02/09/2003 at Blue Bell BMW

Also during his ownership, in addition to regular servicing, Mr Woodward did the following:

Brake fluid, Brake discs and pads, Left Wishbone totalling £1518 @39,683miles 07/03/2006 at Rydale BMW

The second UK owner was a Mr Clark who took ownership of the car in and around May 2006. The car then bore another private registration V555BEN. He had the following work completed and parts fitted from BMW.
MOT, new wheel bolts and Roundel @ 26/05/2006 at Rydale BMW
Oil service @ 43,793 miles 12/01/2007 at Rybrook BMW
In 2007 this M3 was imported in Ireland, again by another BMW enthusiast owner. Again the new mature owner spared no expense in ensuring the car was again given the care a special car like this deserved. He used the car sparingly and in the 5 years in his ownership the mileage did not rise very much.

I purchased the vehicle in March 2012 with 58,000 miles as I was looking for a really well cared for E46 M3. The Imola Red 2 paint was very striking and with the black leather, it was an excellent colour combination. I bought the car based on the extensive history and maintenance file, the type of owner, the condition of the car and the way the car drove.
In my ownership I have added 3,000 miles and have stored the car indoors during the winter months. The maintenance and work I have had carried out include:
New BMW Roundel and indicator lenses 10/04/2012
Front wings, bonnet and bumper repainted to eliminate stone chips 21/05/2013 by AJK Rush, Co Dublin.
StopTech Street Performance Pads installed with Goodrich braided hoses all round and flush out the brake fluid with Motul RBF 600 21/05/2012
New chrome grills and hazard switch 01/03/2013
Inspection 2 using BMW Inspection kit @ 59,901miles 04/03/2013 carried out by BMW Specialist
Wheels refurbished & coated with G Technic, new centre caps and M emblems 05/03/2013 by Wheel Wizards
Arches undersealed and Full Detail and paint correction by Detailing Shed March 2013
Spacers added to alloys 22/05/2013
Condition wise, this M3 is in extremely good and presentable condition on the exterior with deep paint and no scratches or damage to the body. If I was to be very picky a set of new headlight lenses would be the final touch to make the exterior stunning. These are included in the sale.
Tyres are quite new Continentals with about 80% thread depth left and of course the alloys are mark free benefitting from the refurb.
The interior is exquisite with very little wear evident on the driver’s bolsters, steering wheel and fittings. The mature enthusiast ownership is evident. It really is a nice place to be to enjoy the performance, experience and build quality. The Harman Kardon stereo system offers a very high level of music quality.
Mechanically this performance machine drives impeccably with the S54 engine in rude health and pulling strongly with the definitive BMW M six cylinder growl. These S54 engines are well known for their reliable and relatively trouble free nature, especially one like this that has received regular care. The SMG gearbox is fault free working perfectly through all gears up and down and a joy to use with the paddle change and various settings available. The SMG really suits the nature of the M engine making for a hugely enjoyable driving experience aided by strong, fresh brakes and taught suspension giving excellent handling.
I would really want this amazing Imola M3 to go to another enthusiast who will enjoy and appreciate one of the finest engineered road cars. I would be very happy to answer genuine enquiries and questions from interested parties.
