Concorso D'Eleganza Como 2016

Attended the http://concorsodeleganzavilladeste.com/ public day (May 22nd) on Lake Como while on a weeks holiday in Italy. Looped around from Nice, Turin, Lake Como, Lake Maggiore and Orta and then back to Nice via Acqui Terme and Sanremo.

More people that I thought turned up to the event. Being sponsored by BMW, they has a small display of E24’s, E30’s, E31’s and E36’s made up of Italian BMW Car Club members and BMW Classic themselves. They also had MINI's and a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost.

On the way in through a covered pavilion, they had some ‘BMW Hommage’ concepts, the best I thought was the 3.0CSL. The worst (visually) I reckoned was the 2002 Hommage which seemed to be based on an Aldi inspired body kit strapped to an M2.

In overall terms, there were about 55 cars and 35 or motor cycles plus the concepts from BMW, Aston Martin (Vanquish Zagato), Bugatti (Chiron Vision), Alfa Romeo (Disco Volante) and Mazda (RX Vision)

It was quite bright that day and caused some difficulties in photographing because of the shadows. I’ve put a link to some of the cars I did manage to photograph below.
