Just wondering how fully comp works in regards to a total loss claim either from theft or accident,anyone here been unlucky enough to have had to make one,how close to the value of the car did they offer you and how long did the prosess take

One of my friends wrote off his mondeo in November 2012 it took about a month to get the insurance money due to an accessor etc and he got 16k for a 2011 mondeo 2.0 diesel 125hp and good enough spec etc
It was fully comp
Had a 2 year old Impreza stolen in 2004. Insurance company provided a rental car for two weeks. Once claim paperwork was returned to the insurance company including the Garda pulse number they paid out in 10 working days.
I owned that particular car which I bought from a Subaru dealer for 9 months and didn't loose a penny on it :cool:
