Well you have checked power to the amp all good
Amp is working as you have good reception on old stereo
The only thing I can see is there seems to be two wires for the aerial could be your problem (items 22 or 10). I have one like the second one Gar posted and it works perfect (I have an alpine unit) you can get leads like this handy enough on line, UK car stereo sites, Halfords might have one but ring first.
After that I am at a loss, could be a component failure in your unit but hopefully the lead will fix it. [/align]
I see people talk about signal boosters but I don't know as anything about them.
Davy, I put one of these units briefly in the E90. Same problem, couldn't be fixed on mine (Veyron Unit). Something to do with the oem radio getting a powered amp supply for the aeriel which is not in a lot if the aftermarket replica units.
I was told I should of went the Dynavin route.
This can happen with all aftermarket headunits even sony pioneer etc
As i siad to you in pm i recall having the single piece antenna connector and my radio reception is flawless with the other with two wires it must have to be tapped to a power source as mac siad
This thread might help just came across it http://www.bmwland.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=154437

@keith dynavin would have most likely gave you the same result as you'll see in thread above
just in case anyone else has the same problem with the eonon unit i found a solution
i got a new cable for the back of it called a Metra 40-EU55

i found a guy in the US who recommended it as a fix and in fairness its a massive improvement and now i have clear radio reception in all but complete wilderness and even there i have the national stations like 2fm today fm etc
