I'm 100% Apple! have 5 iMacs in work and a Pro at home. Never had to use Apple Care once over the past 5-6 years of having Macs/iphones/ipads. Very solid computers. BUT if you are going to bring a laptop around with you all the time just cover yourself with the Apple Care. You have a 1 year warranty with Apple anyway.
JohnC is right BTW! Get the better Processor. You can always use iCloud Drive and have up to a TB of space in the cloud which will store more than enough Videos and pictures for ya ... I currently have over 16000 photos on my iCloud plus videos, work documents and I'm now where near my limit.
The apple care plan doesn't cover damage

So I bought directly from apple UK. Was cheaper in the UK than Ireland.
Used a student discount and saved about 300 pounds.
I got a mac pro 13" i7 processor 3.1ghz. 16gb ram and 256 ssd.
With that care package
I hope you bought a lot of dongles [emoji38]

Why?????? Whats this about dongles now?
As I said in my previous post the new MacBook Pro doesn't have USB, card reader or hdmi, it's all done through USB-C, even the charger.
Eventually they'll be a mainstream interface, a few machines I've bought recently have the port but right now, nothing is using the connection.

Basically, if you buy a MacBook Pro and an iPhone, you can't connect the two with the supplied connections [emoji23]

Lol, I knew that alright. But I didnt buy the latest model because of the very reason you said. I got the previous model that has 2 usb3 and 2 thunderbolt crap.
But you can get adapters if you need them to convert between the two.
