I'd get it into Courtneys Marc
If it is the control unit, you can send it away to be repaired. Though some can't be fixed.
If you get lucky you might pick up a repaired second hand one.

Even if they find no fault with it they will only charge something like 35 pound I think I read, but at least you can rule a very common faulty part out.
Apparently too close to the exhaust manifold and heat melts sloder inside
