RE: E60 Service Reset After Pro Nav Retrofit
After further research it appears your micro filter reset appears to show "OK" in yellow because the reset has been disabled.
My feeling is that it is disabled because you have another item that only has 16% availability (Brake fluid from memory?)
The oil level was due soon with only 17% left and I already reset this item since it was replaced last week according to Keith.
This is from BMW knowledge based taken tonight:
"The reset disable is indicated by the text ”O.K.” in the menu."
Now I have a strong feeling that once this last item will be reset once the maintenance has been performed, it will then be possible to reset the micro filter.
It appears this has little to do with a CCC retrofit after all or a sport button
As for a GT1 computer, it supports up to 2009 software and cars only, so, some weird behaviour may occur when trying to speak to a car with 2012 software.

Oil has been reset on the iDrive but micro filter still saying over due despite many reset attempts.
I won't pretend to understand coding at all so I can't explain what's going wrong hence the thread but it is deffo something to do with the conversion alright. It worked perfect on his standard iDrive as I reset it when we replaced it early in the year.
The micro filter was not even due to be replaced but it has popped back up on this car for some reason.
I never mentioned anything about charging or monies but considering the work done it was an insult to be told to come up and I'll charge you €20 to reset it.

The answer has already been provided to you
Do the other service item as instructed and get it reset, micro filter will go away. Oil was not reset either, there was only 16% left on the CBS.
Let's be serious, installing is a CCC iDrive has nothing to do with service CBS. Blaming me for this and pissing all over my business name is lame and you are just looking at another freeby.
Yes sure if you call any garage to get the service reset you will be charged. I do not see why this is an insult. This is unrelated to CCC retrofit. I know some people consider if you pay someone 100 euros to fit and code a CCC, then nothing else will ever need to be paid as the 100 euros will cover anything even unrelated in the future. I get these every now and then. Let's be real.
I am very accommodating and I already reset the oil service for free last week for your cousin who was already complaining he would have to pay the toll bridge to come to my place. Like if I had to refund him.

The oil has already been reset. The Microfilter still will not reset.
I am not looking for any freebie, it's not my car FFS. I also have never mentioned your business or name on this thread until I was asked who done it. I have not once put down your name or business once so please read the thread carefully if you want to try accuse me of anything.
But seeing as you want to call yourself a business, you should look into aftercare. If you had of said "come up, we take a look and see what the issue is" would not have so bad as to be told, "yes come up €20" before even discussing the issue.
Money is not the issue here, but sometimes attitude can dictate future business.
RE: E60 Service Reset After Pro Nav Retrofit
I reset the oil it was at 16% your cousin asked me to do it as it was done the week before but the counter was not reset. It was not showing up on the cluster/idrive but it was imminent. I did not charge for it as it turns out the problem was not as straight forward as I understood from your texts so I asked him to come so I could see for myself. I said I would look into it and I did. I have posted what I think is the solution. If not let me know and I will have another look.

Everything is reset except the the Microfilter.
Oil, fluid, exhaust, pads etc all saying 2015 or 2016.
Still saying Microfilter due in 0 miles?
I don't understand why an independent service item cannot be reset on it's own as it could be done on this car before and on all of my E60's too.
RE: E60 Service Reset After Pro Nav Retrofit
I've also been told this :
One thing to understand is that the CBS items are coded to the Kombi or Cluster.
When u attempt to reset through the push button sequence it can mess up.
What I do with these is to flash update the cluster and recode it.
Then using CBS function with Diag tool reset BACKWARDS the service counters. This usually brings back the capability to reset from cluster.
It's looking like you will have to bring it to someone with Autologic etc.
Where are u in country?
RE: E60 Service Reset After Pro Nav Retrofit
From the diagnostic software I could reset everything everything but the micro filter, it was not even showing up on the list of items here. And I use the latest BMW bling bling software fully legit and up to date.
I came across a video a Youtube 2-3 days ago where a guy in Germany showed the same issue but no solution.
Also another suggestion that was made to me, try to reset the brake fluid first from the cluster, then see if the microfilter is still showing up? If not try to reset the microfilter after you reset the brake fluid and see how it goes.

RE: E60 Service Reset After Pro Nav Retrofit
BMW says in the their knowledge base it is not recommended to do it through the cluster, and in some instances, when the item has reached 0 or is way past due, some items can only be reset with the computer.
Now I have not experimented issues like this before so I can't comment on how messy it can get. I always use the computer.
There is no need to flash the cluster, it is already up to date, the car was fully flashed a few months ago. Now I can do a reset and see how it goes. When you do a reset it does a factory reset. It was done already a few months ago, but who knows. It may work or not. But you may have the same issue again in 12 months, 24 months. I have no idea.
Happy to try that for you

RE: E60 Service Reset After Pro Nav Retrofit
I think you need to use Tool32 for a problem like this.
Also note that the Instrument Cluster is the "master" for storing the Condition Based Service" information (page 21 below). So the problem here with this car is unlikely to be due to the CCC retrofit.
