Carbon copy cloner is probably the most user friendly, you can use the trial version. Clone your old HDD to the SSD keeping everything intact then boot into the SSD.
When you're sure everything is working just go ahead and format the HDD and move any data you like to it.
You should also run a program called TRIM enabler to make the SSD perform optimally and last longer.

Clock speed of the RAM, in Mhz. It's dependant on what your motherboard can support, but generally will default back to the lowest suitable speed, or if you mix sticks they will all run at the lowest clock speed :)
