RE: 2010+ Sub €20K Driver's Car?
How about this.
Honda Accord Type S.

Slightly over budget but low miles, great build quality and plenty of power
My sister has one. Great car to drive and well spec'd as well.

What are you looking for Peter? You must have something in mind or to compare to? 07/08+ at 20k, I don't know your situation, but I'd be looking to try stretch to e9X M3s! You should get an 08 in the old tax which is €1809 per annum. Later ones, afaik were ~€2300 to tax!

Nice car I'm sure but wouldn't be for me to be honest.

In a nut shell: pokey petrol powered RWD Coupe (or possibly roadster) that's not a money pit. As much as I'd love one, I wouldn't be able to maintain an e9x M3 Paddy, have to be realistic with myself :D
Having owned a variety of cars before I always preferred BMWs (near 50/50 weight distribution, styling etc) but I'm a little put off by the newer cars so I'm trying to think outside the box a little bit. I just fancy something that puts a smile on your face everytime you drive it basically!

That's lovely John :) low mileage and all. I think if I was to go for a new-ish BMW it would be something like that or a Z4.

The only thing that jumps out at me is 50% over budget :

It's an impossible task looking for a completely reliable performance car, to get the peace of mind you want the only option I can see is buy from a dealer with full warranty, just buy a good E46 M3 and bank the rest for rainy day money [emoji1]

Something with a warranty would be ideal, but do they not only give proper warranties on cars that are couple of years old max?
GT86 would lack the BMW feel, but ticks all the boxes otherwise. Hasn't come down in price enough just yet though unfortunately.
2010+ Sub €20K Driver's Car?
Even has the right reg for you
