The CSL could be spec'd with either the CSL wheels or the Style 67's at no extra cost. A few CSL's in the UK have been running the 67's from day 1.

Were the original CSL wheels not made of chocolate and bent very easily - new ones may simply have been prohibitevely expensive (and prone to cracking again of course), hence may have been simply replaced by the far more easily (and cheaper) to source Style 67's.....:confused:
Originals may be wrapped in track rubber sitting in the garage too either....:)
Oh dear, somewhat embarrassing. I worked at a car dealers as teen and found some odd things in cars. Not quite like this though.
