SE is not a standard spec. In the '80s SE (Special Equipment) was offered by BMW UK and was a package of extras for a set cost over the base level car. The SE pack afaik was not offered in the Republic by Motor Import until the E46 was launched.

Non m-tech works for Alpina....... My e36 has the m front bumper, no skirts and non-m rear bumper! For me I think it looks a lot better and certainly different because every other e36 has been m-tech'd, so it's nice to be a little different!
