Paid 900 for it which was a fair price at the time.
Have about 3500-4000 in it NOT INC. any of the wheels or tyres/nct/tax or any general running costs like that plus near 150hours of detailing into in.
This is the reason I wouldn't sell the car and if I was it wouldn't be for the 900 euro I paid...or even near the 3k mark for that matter!!
Personally some of the ones sold for near 3k were not in original state so that's why they would sell more but for me a nice OE e36 is worth more money!
Im contemplating going back to standard with mine, set of RC0041's and raise it up and keep refreshing more stuff as time goes by because at the end of the day if it stands me 6/7k all done its still cheap motoring :)
I lost 10k if not some more on a car before and got no fun from it, that was depreciation, interest on the finance etc etc so im glad I have a car that at least out of all things, is not loosing value as time goes by :)

Buy my RCs so I can get ROTA Grids or Torques. :D
How much is an E36 coupe worth
There are exceptions I for one would be slow to sell for any less than 3k. Not to start any butt hurt but I probably would sell for 2k if my car didn't have wheels and sound system that I could get €1500 for second hand in the morning! There are about 10-20 non m3 E36s worth any more than 2k in the country.
Sent forward in time from my Nokia 3210
RE: How much is an E36 coupe worth
I paid 7500 for my 318is when I bought it back in 2007 and if someone offered me double that today I still wouldn't consider selling it.
Eventually the supply of cheap E36s has to run out. The amount of adds for cars being broken is easily equal to or greater than the amount of cars being sold complete.
I'm not saying the price of E36s will ever reach crazy heights but I like to think eventually they will be out of the price range of the diff welding brigade
