Nah just recycle the whales Gar :tounge:
Its been asked already but does anybody know what happens if you get caught?
There has to be a few conversions on here I'm sure. If I had one I'd never be replying to a thread like this. But then lads will do conversions and put pics on a public forum too.....
Personnaly I have no trouble with lads having maybe a 330D as a 2.0l or a 328i as a 2.0 but INSURED correctly.
It's where lads put M3 engines into a 316i and tax/insure as a 316i I think the problem is.
Off Topic: I was offered €300 for a E46 320D tax book, So it could be used on a UK 330D. (No I didn't take it!)
+1, once insurance is valid It wouldn't bother me what she was taxed as as.Quote:

Iv rang a few lads that are selling 530s that are 2 litre on the book and in fairness to them everyone one of them said that theyre insured correctly and never get any hassle so i couldnt really see anything wrong in doing it, just wanted other peoples opinion on it... At the end of the day, car tax in this country is a joke anyways.
Anyways, anyone able to change a 530 to a 2 litre on the book? Pm me.

Seems impossible to find an answer iv yet to see anyone actually done for it, they pull in so much money from road users for tax and vrt at present that it doesn't seem to be an issueQuote:
