It was for sale for a while and I learned a few lessons,
1:DON'T PUT IT ON ADVERTS.iE
2:GET A DIFFERENT SIM IF YOU DO!
3:DON'T EXPEC WHAT YOU WANT FOR IT.
4:DON'T EVEN TALK TO PEOPLE WHO E MAIL YOU AN OFFER(they won't even have it)
Your right though, only the sports are selling, and because mine was 2.0 tax was a big selling point,
Good luck to its new owner Paul, a genuine nice guy
IM BACK INTO E36s, the recession proof rockets!

The e39 is getting old now in fairness. I still love mine and I have no plan to buy a e60 ever. F10 why not.
Many buyers go by the year of registration. Anything over 10 years old is a big nono. That is a social thing in my opinion. There is no difference between a e39 and e60 tax wise, unless you go post 2008, an e39 would be cheaper to maintain. People just want newer cars.
Aderts can be a pain, BUT I adertised both my E39 520i and my E46 320i on BMW sites/donedeal and adverts.Quote:

Cold facts are most people hate having a tax disc worth more than car. A number plate is what a lot of people gauge on how good a car is. Petrol isn't cheap. An old e39 ticks all those negatives. All this means for cars of this era are only good for 2 things. Welded diff drifters and enthusiasts looking for donors to keep their pride and joy on the road. My advise if you can, keep it, store it and in a few years take it back on the road. Sounds like its worth more to you than a thousand if that's true Youl not find another one like it again so keep it ..
Ps I am looking for a cheap facelift e39 to keep mine on the road.
@[Gar] will take a few hunderd for is high miler! :D :PQuote:
