I'm really not taken by the styling of the new R model Jags. They're just too much and have started to look cheap imo. However it is great to see Jaguar making performance models that can compete. I do like a fast cat!!

Could be a repost, but worth it :)

He must be able to pilot after all! :smiling:
I would have called him able for at least keeping up with that lot, to take the lead he must be an incredible pilot
Harris has been rated for a long time. He did pretty well in the RAC Rally a few years ago in a Fiesta from what I remember. The best motoring journalist out there now bar none IMO
Seem to remember many rate Steve Sutcliffe of Autocar as being quicker again, and he looks a big enough lad too

The blue one please
Good God the interior in that 911 is terrible!
It's still better than the exterior of the McLaren though ;)Quote:

Well I don't mind carbon & alcantara too much myself. But I still maintain the exterior styling of the McLaren ain't the best. Saw one on the road earlier in the year and I reckon it's a poor looking version of the Lotus Evora, a car I'm not that fussed on the styling of either
Would still have one of them if it was going free though of course ;)
I'm not sure I lust after either...... :surprised:
But for £150k that 911 has an interior no better than a £20k 1 Series.
And that one is supposed to be an "S" with a load of options??? :s
I bet he didnt go on about the rear wheels steering in the 850 CSI as much as he blabbered about it in that 911! lol
I think the interior is alright, I'd prefer black though and I don't think I'd ever go for leather over fabric/alcantara in a car like that.
The Mclaren looks way out of date to me.
That 911 turbo is my lotto car.. Have driven a turbo from the previous generation and the cornering ability is quite remarkable. It never feels like it would let go within my cowardly driving skills.
Agree that the interior of the 911 is somewhat underwhelming, but its pretty good, there is a lot of nostalgia with the 911 and any changes come under severe criticism.
Chris Harris has the best job in the world.

He did, and agree, P1/Ferrari  the Porsche does absolutely nothing for me.Quote:

He did, also in the videos where he did the cars individually, he said both McLaren and Ferrari shipped a team on engineers along with the cars to set it up perfectly. The Porsche arrive by itself with a set of road tires on it, so it didn't do too bad at all! And its about half the price of the others :D Not that the price matters when you're buying cars like that!Quote:

I loved it when Richard Hammond did a feature on it but after seeing the above video my thoughts changed!Quote:

Porsche is a boot of a thing just does nothing for me, especially compared to the old CGTs. McLaren is efficient at what it does but looks too much like a 12c/650S/675LT/every other McLaren and turbo noises while cool, are for Evos not £1m hyper cars.
