Ok, bit of background to the story:
My girlfriend and I are looking for a new place, and after a long and stressful search we've found this place on daft (see pictures below) in the most exclusive and suitable and generally perfect place for a very low price (600 per month) where usually apartment would go for 1100/1200+ so figured it's probably supposed to be 1600 or that there's some mistake, so we thought we'd call... Realised the number is missing a digit... right, figured it happens (seemingly to every single person selling anything on donedeal) so thought I'd drop an email.

Anyway, a day has passed and no reply and noticed the ad was removed from daft, so thought it was weird as the ad was only an hour old when we saw it and emailed.
Then today, I get the following reply..... :D

My name is Donna Pattison and I received your email of interest for the rental of my apartment located in ************ Cork. The apartment have 2 bedroom, 1 living room, 1 kitchen and 1 bathroom.
I am a research engineer for a pharmaceutical company and I bought the apartment while working on a 2 year contract in Ireland as an alternative to renting. I am the only owner of the apartment, the apartment is paid in full and with no legal problems. The apartment is not inhabited since I am no longer living in Ireland. You could be my second tenants.
My intention is to rent the apartment to nice, clean people and in order to do that I would like to know a little something about you, like how many persons do you intend to live in my apartment, do you have a steady income ,etc
In addition to everything else here is a little something about the apartment and myself so we can get to know each other.
The apartment is the one in the pictures from the advertisment. I have the option of sending all my furniture into storage if you want to bring your own (no extra costs)
The rent for 1 month is 600 euro (for the entire apartment) including all utilities (water, electricity, Internet, cable ). Security deposit is also 600 euro, and you get it back, when you decide to leave the apartment (you will have to give me at least 30 days notice). You can rent the flat for any period of time (open end contract).
About myself, I am 39 years old and I am a research engineer for pharmaceutical products, currently living in London, my home town .
You can move in the apartment in the same day when you receive the keys. The only problem is that I`m already in London but I hope that we shall find a solution.

Needless to say........... This raised alarm bells right left and centre..... By the way, look back at the pictures and notice the air conditioning in the living room / bedroom and the weird plugs in the kitchen :D
My reply had to be:
Hi Donna,
I have to apologise as I haven't been totally honest with you, my real name is Peter Pan, and myself and Tinkerbell would like to rent your apartment as she is pregnant and we're looking for a place to have our weird mutated half human / half fairy children.
I hope that's not too weird for you...
If that's ok, we will be happy to pay you a deposit of 600 fairy euros directly into your bank account, and 600 fairy euros per month rent in advance.
We both work in Never Land which is quite far from *******, but it's ok cause we can both fly. I am an interpreter for mermaids by day, and I play the pipes by night for some extra cash. My partner Tinkerbell fixes pots and kettles by day, and sells pixie dust on the corner of South Mall street by night in order for us to live our extravagant lifestyles.
I look forward to your reply, as your apartment suits our needs perfectly and we would like to move in as soon as possible.
