After driving it, I'd certainly consider an 07 or 08 Cooper S, can be got for about €10k

@[Gar] we were talking about car sounds before. This is one of my favourite sounding cars of all time. Actually one of my favourite cars of all time in general. First car I'd buy in the lotto garage :p :cool:

The 360 CS is probably my 2nd favourite car.

This is no.1 in every respect, but not even winning the lottery would bag you one I'd say...

I think you missunderstand what I mean, I had a 1.9 tdi 4motion passat and considered selling it for a w8, when I did a bit of research I found out that its an absolute piece of shit of an engine, the W8 has no serviceable internals.

It is a throw away engine. Not to mention the propensity of the cam adjusters to fail which will leave you with a very big 4 litre paper weight, they were never built to last.

If you did want to repair it you would have to get the parts custom made or buy a new engine, vw were selling off the last of the engines for a little under 7k euro about 6 years ago which was half the list price of the engine.
