Try itsforwomen.ie , can surprisingly do okay quotes.
Anybody have any recommendations on insurance companies?
I'm getting crazy quotes for a 2008 E90 M3.
Ranging from €1600 with a €3000 excess from XS direct, next best was €2400 from AXA fully comp.
Im over 30 with full no claims and 2 penalty points.
Thanks
I'm with Aviva, €970 fully comp with full no claims protection on a 2002 525i Sport Auto. 22, 5 years NCB, very cheap I think!
Super stuff, il give them a call and see what they offer.
Aviva were a bit on the expensive side with €6,838
Thanks John....I've a renewal to sort and I'll be onto them again tomorrow!
How did you get them to cough up for that John? I'm in the exact same situation now, this happened today on the M50

Knicknacks fecking rocks, no trucks nearby when it happened. At least it wasn't bodywork, its only glass. Hmm, I'll give it a lash, I'll dig out the document tomorrow. Thanks.
M3 renewed at Eur730 with Allianz via Arachas
e30 renewed at Eur235 with AIG via First Ireland
Renewal on the e36 in Naas €1520 fully comp.
Renewal at my new address in monkstown €2060 fully comp.
€1600 3rd party.
Fecking ridiculous rise for an address change.

I have my 1995 E36 convertible insured with AIG via First Ireland as a classic for €519 as of last June.
The renewal on a standard policy was €2200 with Kennco. First Ireland even thought it was silly. They offered the classic policy with a mileage limit of 10,000 (I did 7,500)
As of last week I have the 1991 RX7 convertible insured on the SAME POLICY for an extra €33 with an additional 4,000 on that vehicle. It will be €107 for the RX7 as an addition when renewal comes around.
SO, two cars insured for €600 roughly.
The renewal was due last week and was expecting a sting but glad to say this is the second year in a row with no increases. the wife changed the corolla during the week and upgraded to a Hyundai I40 Estate 1.7 diesel the difference was 80 in the policy which you can live with.
I am still dumbfounded by the current state of the Irish Insurance system. Mine went up another €300 on last years policy even though the only change on the policy was another year added to my NCB (now at 8). Quotes you get now online also only seem to last in some instances until close of Business (123.ie).

I got my renewal quote from AIG, €2117. It was €800 last year and the policy is only 3rd party f&t. I have another years no claims bonus , clean licence and no previous claims. I rang them and them offered 5% off. I'm absolutely fuming. Cannot a quote off any other company now either. It's nearly the value of the car. 24 on a 330d touring. How in the name of God is anyone supposed have insurance these days!!
24 years old???? You are still young pup.... driving a 3 litre engine. And a BMW.
Plus E46s (along with A4s etc) have become the model Honda Civic. Insurance companies hated young lads civic. They now hate young lads in boo machines (not saying yours boos)
I know I'm young enough for the car but it's still gone up €1300 which is completely unjustified. I got quotes from 5 different companies last year which were pretty reasonable, but this year they won't even quote me. I've been driving a minimum of a 2.5 litre since i was 20 and never had a problem. It's basically insurance companies nowadays telling what you can and can't drive.. and don't worry it doesn't boo nor will it ever
I rang the guts of about 15 insurances companies including brokers today to try get a quote on an M3, 2002-05 at 27 with 7 NCB and 9 years driving.
7 I got we cant quote that vehicle.
3 Brokers quoted me Aviva ranging from €2600 - 3600
Aviva quoted me €1800
I finally got two acceptable quotes from BOI and An Post
€1300 and €1190 respectively.
This country just doesn't let enthusiasts have nice cars without having to pay ridiculous prices from tax to insurance to fuel.
I feel it would be cheaper for me to just move to the UK or just get a 2017 Micra :P
I just got home from holidays tonight to find the insurance renewal for the F31 330d had arrived.
I knew it was coming but wasn't worried, it's the wife's car, she has a full clean licence, social & domestic only, over 35 etc etc.
Last year was €725, this year the nice people in FBD want over €1,400. [emoji35]
You'd swear I work for them at this stage, but I've repeatedly found An Post unbeatable for insurance quotes! I'm with AIG via An Post for just over €1k on the M3. Everyone else was minimum +€500
Just went with An Post today for the E92 renewal. Aviva also competitive as we have the F10, house and medical insurance with them but An Post was still €19 cheaper even after all the Aviva discounts.
Renewal: 741 (Axa Broker)
123: 839+ with options
AA: 1000+
Aviva: 569
An Post: 550
