want to get the oem sat nav in my e39,have the shitty radio job with cd changer in it now,want the big screen one with sat nav and cd changer,what parts do I need.can get the headunit and dvd drive from a friend but he dosent have any other bits. but what other parts do I need,.basically want to get a list and buy them as I can.
help appreciated.

i like your unit and it has lots of features the oem dosent,i can get the 16.9 oem screen and the drive for 100 euro.depending on the price of the loom and other bits it seems a better bet for me.we will see what happens,easier for me to buy bits the odd time than hand over 400 in one go.Quote:

If the sat nav drive he has is below mk3 its really only fit for the bin :(
I bought all the modules loom mk4 nav bluetooth module 16:9 screen tv tuner brackets but the loom was wrong it wrecked my head I sold the lot and made a nice profit but with the correct loom its pretty straight forward

Its really just a matter of taking out the rear seats boot carpet and lower dash then rooting the loom from the boot to the dash

Full set up seems to go for 550+ on ebay, adverts and theres a set up on here for that too!
