Long story ,but few days ago this car landed in my place and now i gonna do some tidy up to make it as better condition as possible
The list car needed after quick check up :
Steering tie rods there worn - DONE with new original BMW complete tie rod units
Manifold to exhaust system connecting bolts rusty -DONE with new original BMW gaskets and nuts
Exhaust middle section connecting bolts rusty and some already missing ,gaskets already there leaking - DONE with new BMW gaskets bolts and nuts
Back box and exhaust sytem connecting clamps ,very common to rust damage - DONE with universal and new clamps
Rear trailing arm bushes ,still original from factory ,not really very bad ,but strat to crack and too soft to do the job -DONE with new Lemforder bushes
Rear top mounts looked tired - DONE with new Lemforder mounts and new BMW top mount gaskets with new after market reinforcement plates
Rear axle hub lower and upper bushes - DONE with new Lemforder bushes
Rear tires was bold - DONE replaced with used up to year old Continentals
Wheel center caps ,some after market ones with one missing ,as they are sitting not so properly - DONE replaced with new BMW ones
Front wheels looked so misssing under front wings - DONE 17mm spacers with new bolts fitted
And all 4 wheel tracking -aligement done
Boot lid lights in need for refresh - DONE LH replaced with good SH one
Boot trim clips missing - DONE all back in their places
Power steering hoses had some oil leakage ,its very common on lot BMWs but not so serious in this time - NOW only fully cleaned for future investigation and engine under shields fully washed off of PS oil leak signs
Now mechanicaly shes nearly there
And quick wash after all this was done !
Later done :
Wiper blades - DONE new Valeo fitted
Oil constant pressure valve - DONE new BMW valve fitted
Gearbox oil - DONE ,Castrol one filled
Diff oil - DONE Castrol oil with Red line modifier filled
Fule filter - DONE new filter fitted, old one was never replaced before
Steering wheel had some wear signs so replaced with much better condition one
Still ok for service, so not gonna do any work around engine yet
Gonna check spark plugs only
Sort out few dents and small scratches
To match front wheel stance need some spacers at the back - on search
Have some front bigger brake upgrade on the shelf ,but will see later on

Very nice!,
what do you use to clean the Power steering pipes out of interest? mine are very oily but its just a weep from the timing chain cover gasket.

ABOUT RED LINE GEAR OIL FOR DIFFERENTIALS
Fully-synthetic formulas created from polyol ester base stocks, offer excellent lubrication under extreme conditions
High viscosity-index (VI) to provide relatively constant viscosity and film thickness with varying temperature change
Ester base stocks and friction modifiers provide additional slipperiness to lower operating temperatures by reducing the sliding friction in hypoid gears
Superior shear stability and reduced oxidation compared to other synthetics and conventional gear oils
Exceed API GL-5 specifications
Engineered to provide the highest degree of protection and improvement of differential efficiency for better mileage, longer drain intervals, and less wear
MORE TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Limited-slip or Positraction units use plates or clutches to provide the proper amount of lock-up to the differential. Slippery lubricants are required to prevent chatter, but too much slipperiness causes excess wheel spin, reducing traction.
For perfect traction, use Red Line 75W90NS and add the Red Line Limited-Slip Differential Friction-Modifier / Break-In Additive until the chatter disappears.
Satisfies performance requirements of GM 1052358, Ford M2C118-A, 19B546-MA, Chrysler 4318060 and most imports.
Recommended Dosage:
Use 4% for prevention of limited slip chatter in broken-in units (typical one 4 oz. bottle) or 4 to 8% for the break-in of new differentials.
Red Line Limited-Slip Differential Friction-Modifier / Break-In Additive will significantly reduce the friction during break-in of differentials. High temperatures encountered in break-in
can destroy the hardening of the gear teeth causing rapid wear of the softened gears. This additive can reduce the break-in temperatures by as much as 50°F, improving break-in conditions. Compatible with petroleum or synthetic gear oils. Red Line Gear Oils already contain this additive (except the NS).
In non limited-slip racing differentials and quick change units using the Red Line ShockProof Gear Oils an additional 3 to 6% Red Line Limited-Slip Differential Friction-Modifier / Break-In Additive is recommended.

Seeing as we don't have time to work on our own cars how about you give me the M3 to work on and I give you the "IS" to work on. :tounge::tounge::tounge::tounge:
