There was an alternator changed at one point as well, but I forgot to record that at the time. The old alternator was fully functional but was whining so it was replaced. Most recently, I replaced the two front top mounts as they had begun to creak a little.


There was also some minor bodywork carried out by Davy Pickard Paintworks in Westside Business Park during the first year. It was purely cosmetic to repair a stone chipped front bumper and some wear on the corners of the bumpers from poor attempts at parking by the previous owner. The paintwork was maintained since by Larry in CleanCar.ie and was recently painted again to repair a stone chipped bonnet, wings, and front bumper. Photos of this can be provided for verification.


The car has been raised 25mm front and rear since the photos were taken.

The only real negatives on the car at the minute is some slight wear on the driver's seat base and I would consider the wheels in need of refurbishment.

Price is negotiable but I won't entertain time wasters or low ball offers. Anyone interested in the car can read the build thread and will appreciate that this isn't a typical 320D. It's a pristine example with full history and is an honest car. I'm in no rush to sell, so I'd rather wait for the right buyer. It comes with two keys, original boot lid, original and different LED tail lights. As it says above, I'm willing to negotiate with the right buyer. I'd much rather this went to a good home for under asking to someone who would ruin it for the whole amount advertised.

Can I just point out how well this car is looked after... Paddy is the biggest OCD case I know of... And this shows in the placing of the locking nuts on the wheels they have to be located above the logo

I found out the hard way when fitting the wheels after rolling the arches :)

Another thing to add is that the car has always had the Vortex type turbo breather filter fitted. Even when I first bought it, it was one of the first things I sorted and it just happened that the previous owner already had one fitted.

If I think of anything else, I'll just update the original post.

I know it's probably the last thing you want to do but considering these are still making 10k at that mileage would it make sense to put it back to stock and sell everything seperately? There has to be second hand 5k worth of extras on it?

It's not a route I want to go down to be honest. It'll be sold as is and with the original parts thrown in too. TBH, the price I have in my head is more between the asking and 10K than most would first have thought, just need to try and get as much as I can for it.

My Photobucket has run out of bandwidth from the amount of views. Hilarious, considering I've not even had a single approach yet...

Images rehosted, and a note to say that navigation is working again.

The car is now listed on Adverts and will shortly be added on DoneDeal. As such, I'm going to reduce the price here from €14,995 to €13,000. That's the figure that I need to get for the car, no BS involved.

If anyone is interested, feel free to ask any questions.

The car is still here and with the summer approaching, it's time I get myself into a GTI. The car is taxed until March 2016 and currently has 149,000KM on the clock.

Only issues with the car at the moment is that one of the angel eyes has gone dim, but a replacement is on its way and will be sorted next week. There's also some light wear on the driver's seat base which can be sorted too at the new owner's request. Everything else is perfect and the car needs to be seen to be appreciated.

Texts are preferred as I'm away to Qatar for ten days with work. All good offers considered.

It's a Hartge Japan carbon splitter for a pre-LCI M-Sport. Took me around two years to source one, don't think anyone sells them new anymore.
