ABS light still on

I have a 2003 525i Japanese import low miles 21,000

ABS light was on and diag said front right speed sensor . Also I needed a new window module passanger side

Mechanic installed sensor and window module . Light still on and code 33 then came up - Vehicle front left sensor (circuit) . He went to replace front left sensor but the computer wouldn't recognise it

He said he thinks it might be the ABS pump but can't diagnose this- he has checked wiring to the pump and it's ok

Also on the Hella window module he installed is printed "ABS" . Does this have anything to with the ABS module and how it communicates with any other systems ? The serial number on the new part is different to the original but the window, mirror and door locking mechanism are all working fine now

Button on the dash below the hvac , will say asc or dsc being an 03 id say dsc

As far as I know it could be either. Don't think Irish cars ever got DSC.

If it is the control unit, you can send it away to be repaired. Though some can't be fixed.
If you get lucky you might pick up a repaired second hand one.

Abs Module.... happened to me... Was told one wheel sensor, replaced it. Then was told the other side senor. So I sent the model over to England and they found a fault. Refurbished it. Now it cost near 200euro all in with a lifetime warranty on it. Popped it back in and "bang! The dirt is gone!!! "
Even if they find no fault with it they will only charge something like 35 pound I think I read, but at least you can rule a very common faulty part out.
Apparently too close to the exhaust manifold and heat melts sloder inside

Ecu testing. Fill out a form online and they will give u a ref. Number. Take your moudel off (easy to take off,couple of bolts) pack it up nice and carefully and send it off. You can still drive the car. Think your speedo and mph gauge won't work

That's where I tried to get mine done as well. There was good reports from them.

I got mine refurbished by Peter at Logic Automotive out in Greenogue. He lent me a spare one while he was refurbishing it ....€350 plus vat . Excellent service
