I like the fact that they are a reasonably Q car but with enough subtle styling differences that other petrol headd would know! :)
Oh god no! I'd never have a mondeo or any ford for that matter.(except old old stuff)
Big Ford fan, But not really a fan on Mk3 Mondeos......
Would much prefer a Mk1 4x4 Si with the full RS kit or a Mk2 St200 In Performance Blue.
The old man has always been a big Ford fan and still has an original mk3 XR3 and RS2000 lurking about which he has since new. I on the other hand, have watched him spend rediculous amounts of time and money fixing them over the years - seems like every time something gets fixed something else brakes - never got the attraction of the Fix Or Replace Daily !!
I think it's because up the 90s your normal affordable family car could also be a rally bread monster. :)Quote:

I know you could say the same about a 316/M3 but Ford were considered as a normal bread and butter brand and not prestige brand the same as BMW.
There was Hot versions of nearly all the mundane family hacks, Xr2/Xr3/Xr4/Rs Turbo/Rs1800/Rs2000 and the Sierra/Escort/Granada Cosworths etc...
Maybe I'm just biased as I was brought up on Fords? :D
Although I must admit, I don't find modern that Fords that interesting.
Any pics of the Xr3 and Rs?
like the look of them but i wouldnt buy one . but il go with hot
Right then, final judgement is:
