First pic looks like it's on the original TRX wheels and then he is using those centre caps in his style 5's, cabbage. Plus it has the crap seats. I couldn't buy a highline, if it is one, with those seats.
Regards,
Andy
The seat bases didn't look BMW-ish to me all right.
Re the wheels, TBH I didn't notice any difference other than the centre caps in the last picture. TRX/Style 5's are fairly close, no?
Assume highline came with sports seats?
Slightly confused,
Rich :-;
They are BMW seats alright just not sports. Why eejits chose the boring seats over sports in a highline I don't know. TRX wheels have issues and very different to style 5's.
Here is another highline

Very good. That clears the seats up.
Re the wheels, is TRX a type or the manufacturer? I assume the Style 5's are those in the last pic with the mutt in glasses? The pics are smallish on the screen but TBH, I can't see much difference. Maybe I need binoculars and laser eye surgery as well :-)

Highlines came standard with sport seats. Comfort seats were a no cost option when new. Very few cars were fitted with them.
TRX metric tyres are 500stg a corner and difficult to get. Michelin are the only company that make them and they only make them in small batches every year.
Cheers, appreciate the information. I'm gone off it a wee bit now. I pinged the guy an email yesterday enquiring where the car was but I haven't heard anything back yet. Which picture shows the TRX and which the style 5's?Quote:

The TRX wheels don't have much of a dish while the Style 5's on this car have a deeper dish and it seems to be polished. They also look like split rims, although I couldn't tell from a photo.Quote:

Rgds,
Rich :-)
If you are interested in a 635 I think you should view it. It was actually 2005 when I looked at it. At the time it was the best 635 I had seen. I think the mileage was similar so I don't think it has done many miles since then.
The only reason I didn't buy it was I had my heart set on an M635. It was more expensive in 2005 than it is now and that didn't include VRT. It depends on how the present owner has looked after the car in the last 10 years. E24's can deteriorate very quickly if not looked after.
I think it's worth a look, have a look at the comfort seats in the flesh. I think the car is priced well if it's in good condition.
I have an electric cream sport interior if you wanted a sport interior.
WOW, that's interesting.Quote:

Just saw these on donedeal http://cars.donedeal.ie/view/8417519
I would say they are more a '79 than an '89 wheel.Quote:

Ah!! The irish mentality you gotta love it "if it wont sell at 12k il pump it up to 18k that will get them in" [emoji1][emoji1]Quote:

Or that it was in a succession of Bond films... or some other such noteworthy price inflating circumstance.
In fairness, that car was very much under priced at 12,000 including the extra set of wheels and VRT paid. That car would be more expensive in the UK.
He never responded to my communication.
Maybe in a few weeks it'll be down to 6k :-)
