E60 LCI Bluetooth retrofit
Evening all, long time no post.
I have a 2007 E60 LCI and I want to do a genuine Bluetooth retrofit. (Small screen I-drive)
The only problem I see is that I can't find any loom for the TCU/MULF phone box thingy in the boot.
I have looked on the left side up as far as the back seat and no joy.
Is it normal for some cars not to have the loom or am I looking in the wrong place?
The only module in the foam block in spare wheel well is the PDC controller.
Cheers...
John

No Bluetooth prep on the vin check, I just assumed the loom would be fitted as standard.
I see the retrofit loom(61 12 0 442 293) was discontinued by BMW a year or two ago.
Not to worry, it looks like aftermarket is the way to go...
cheers lads.

Ok well in a turn of events I've just bought a ULF/TCU loom. I'm going the full factory route .. call me mad but it was an absolute steal on eBay. I have fitting instructions too.. it's actually not as bad looking as it sounds. Over the next few weeks I'll pick up a BT antenna, mic and a ULF/MULF should work out a lot cheaper than the dension option.
It'll be a good excuse to try out my new ISTA-P install.. :)

So I went ahead and did an OE retrofit. Initially got a Mulf and add SA644 to the VO but the mulf was dead so i changed to SA633 when i came across a very cheap TCU.
SOS/assist coded out and it works! sound quality is really impressive i must say.
Only thing that's irking me slightly is that the phonebook wont transfer from my phone (iphone 6), the A-Z menu is greyed out. does anyone else have this issue? I intend to update to the latest firmware using winKFP and see if that solves it.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...015a2dbce9.jpg

Hi, yes I was trying to do that but the ncsexpert copy I have installed only two profiles, default and ncsdummy so I didn’t have an option to turn off trace manipulation... I must look into that. Yep I updated the vin with tool32. Had me stumped for ages until I realised it needed the long Vin with the checksum digit at the end. Every day is a school day! Tool32 while it looks complicated is very fast!

Thread resurrection part 2 [emoji2] the MULF module died on me last year - not sure if water got in but it was draining the battery and I drive was freezing. So, I ended up buying 2 dud units on eBay and then I gave up! A couple of days ago, a MULF2 module came up for sale on eBay again, so I bought it and hey presto, it works! Only thing is..it hasn’t synced my contacts. Does it need to be coded? I was able to sync all my contacts on the original MULF
