Good bit of ownership experience on here, but what's the favourite?

I really dont like these cars. I fully appreciate that they are biblically quick but they are so compromised. They are cheap speed. Engines screwed up so they give atomic mpg and require more maintenance than an ex-wife with 15 kids - 5k mile oil services etc. Interiors made out of melted down wheelie bins and sony walkman cassete players.
I abstain from voting because its like asking me which do I prefer better a boot in the left teste or a boot in the right. :P

Brewster should have tried to keep an Evo in fuel to spend all that cash! My old boss was averaging 11MPG at one stage on the daily commute in her modded Evo V
SCOOBY :D
I would love another but yes they are thirsty, I was putting €180 a week in mine at the time (2003-2005)
I had it just over 2 years and did 80k miles and sold it with 140k miles and in that time I serviced it every 6k miles (13 services) but only had to replace, the clutch, 4 shocks, timing belt and front disks.
I with Gramps on this. They just remind me of rednecks and knackers.
I suppose anything after the evo 6 is Grand but wouldn't sport either.
Not my cup of tea at all.
evo all day long every day
Haha DoktorB that some way of explaining them!
I would go Evo. Love the earlier ones and later ones IV V VI are not my cup of tea even thou they are probably the ones most people think of. Always wanted a II but no good ones left.
In saying that, 22B is a car on the lotto list, do like TypeR Scoobys too just think the Evo is a tad bit more my cup of red bull.
Scooby all day long.....
Scooby all day long.. As a former owner yes I know how bad they are on petrol but as a point to point car there not gonna be beat ;) evo's are shite imo, to fragile, power band is boring. Yes another quick car but there not for me :D
What was the insurance like on that?
fragile? Well you do need to drive them they don't like sitting up.Quote:

I like these cars but couldnt never own there just not my cup of tea too loud and in your face and the cabin quality is very poor at best altgough there getting slightly better no denying there well able to move though have driven a few
If I had to own one it would be an evo 7 I like them
Ever see a 22b, or a P1 or a type R or any of the proper gc8 car's ;) Have a stiffy even thinking about it.. Insurance Shane I cant imagine is cheap on one. I was running it as a second car. Interior yes is a boring place to be but its not something that bothered me. The torque always had me eye firmly on the road only lol
Agree with the doctor on this one, but if I had to choose which nut to be kicked in I'd go left (evo)
Never drove an EVO, only a lancer GSR turbo.
Drove a 93 WRX and a 99 WRX STi V
Both animals to go especially the STI.
Scooby for me.
Scooby all day.22b is just awesome.
Scooby for me also.
Would love a 22b some time, savage in the flesh
