Surely someone has done this. How can I swap the Dme without doing any coding? If it solves my problem I will get it aligned but in theory can I jut swap the dme ews and key?

Yes just swap the dme ews module and transponder chip in key and your done. I've done this
Great I should get to do this over the weekend have a full set :)
So this worked 100% but it didn't solve my problem :(

Ok , are the plugs wet after cranking for a while ?
Yep they are soaked. Loads of fuel.
Bad petrol , incorrect timing (if you have b18 with toothed pulley , possible keyway breakage)
and failing those do a compression check,( not likely)
would be the main things to check next
