2003 bmw e46 m3 carbon black manual
hi guys, im selling my e46 m3 as im looking to upgrade to an e9 m3
the car is an original irish car bought from murphy and gunn, has nearly every extra from factory all its missing it the rear blind.
optional extras are:
folding external mirrors
full electric heated seats
sunroof
xenon lights
harmon kardon sound system
widescreen satnav
6 cd changer
m cubed interior trim
autowipers and lights
parking assist
front arm rest
the car has only 83k miles on it and is in very good condition, i recently serviced it and fitted poly anti roll bar bushes front and rear and rear track control arm bushed.i fitted a scorpion rear section, while fitting the exhaust i dropped the heat sheilds and had a look at the floor/subframe and there is no cracks or splits. it is perfect.
when i got the car a polished the wheels and fitted 4 new toyo tyres i then i fitted 12mm rear spacers and 20mm front. also changed the gear oil, and the rear diff oil.
other than that the car has performed superbly in the 3 thousand miles i done over the summer.
i knew the previous owner of the car and in the past he changed the clutch and flywheel, fitted bmw front discs and pads and rear pads. the brakes were done not long before i took ownership. he also changed the radiator and waterpump.
car is nct till 21/5/16. tax has expired end of last month.
the car does have one or small niggles which im trying to source parts for just missing a few tools from tool kit, battery cover is cracked. but i have these parts sourced cheaply second hand. just waiting for a day to go an get them!
i got no service history with the car, which didnt bother me as the car is in perfect condition, engine is perfect, doesnt burn any oil, has no leaks, doesnt smoke, i did check it through a friend in the nct and another in the trade before i bought it and the mileage is genuine, and car has never been accident recorded, i have rang bmw about tracing a history back but the only information i got from them is that it went to mckeons in meath in 2004, 2005 and 2006, but as they are now closed down thats the only information i have. it was serviced by the previous owner @75k before i went on a trip to france, and i servied it when i got it @80k.

well it seems like anyone interested in the car is put by the fact it doesnt have a full service history, which with out looking at the car is beyond me, anyone who sees the car will know its very good car, ive seen some wreckers with a full service history but thats another story haha. so ive gone about tracking down some service history, so far i have got

im then missing as the car sold and i havnt found where it went to after that, contemplating ringing every bmw garage in the country and just asking them all haha next i know of

01/07/15 independant 82055 miles
so im missing roughly 3-4 services in the middle, i have warantee printout for mckeons which verify the dates. its a pity no one has looked at it, ive seen much much rougher m3s sell in the past few weeks for more money, just because they have a service history!
anyway if it doesnt sell in the next few weeks im just going to put it away for the winter and have it for next summer !
plugged it in to show mileage recorded in ecu, showing 134858km which is 83796 miles.

Lovely car man, not a fan of grey interiors normally but this one looks really nice and the exterior looks spotless!

I'm amazed this hasent sold.Do you think it's over the service history it hasent sold as personally a service history wouldn't bother me as I've never bought a Bmw with one.

Expecting a full service history on a car that's almost 13 years old is almost silly. Obviously people are going to move away from main franchise dealers when the value of the car is around 1/10th of what it cost new!
Great value car, but in fairness, it may be slow to sell given we're the wrong side of the summer aswell!

i had about 20 calls, some said they were coming and never showed up, one guy asked me was it black, when i explained nearly all black m3s are carbon black and that its more of a dark dark navy he wasnt interested lol good luck finding a sapphire black one haha
a few others as soon as i said it hasnt a full service history said they wernt interested in even looking at it, i didnt bother asking them why or trying to explain the irrelevence of one really, if anyone who knew anything about m3s or cars in general looked at it theyd stop worrying about a service history! someone will buy it, and get a good car, id just rather it happened sooner rather than later i have my eye on a car you see!!
