They look similar to Hella wipers Gar, I think Cab does them.
Forget about them they only last about 6 months. I bought the bosch ones about 3 years ago taken off my old car and they are like new. Have easily done about 100k on them. Can't praise them highly enough.Quote:

Hmm interesting I bought bosch super plus wipers in febuary and there ruined already id say they lasted 6 months tops
Strange, have had the same pair of Super Plus wipers on the 325 for
a good few years, and about 50k miles, they still work fine.
Those flat blades look weird on E46s and E39s anyway!
This is the second set of bosch iv used that went to shite after a season ,I want to venture away from them ,im not sure on the flat blades yet id like to see them but I wont be buying bosch this year again
Ya weird I think mine are great. Maybe the quality has detiorated over the last few years. Mine are about 4 years old now, recommendation retracted!Quote:

Yeah I agree with you Gar - my last two sets of Bosch werent too impressive, which I was disappointed with!
Need to replace mine also, so will be keeping an eye on this! :)
I am currently using the Hella Aero blades on the E36 but only for a few months now, so far so good. I had the ordinary type on it before hand which were SWF wipers and they were on it for just over a year without any sign of fading. I do clean my blades regularly also to help them last longer.
Hope this helps.
There's a guy on bmw5.co.uk who converts E60 wiper arms to E39. I got a set a few years ago so not sure if he's still making them though.
I clean my blades regularly too and also use glass protection which makes it even more disappointing!
Must be an e39 thing lads, I've used the same set of Bosch wipers through the ownership of 3 different cars and they still work perfectly
Yeh stingy shite ,the same set as in you remove the wipers when you change car ? :DQuote:

So hella and bosch do retrofit aero blades? That's good to know.
I wonder if the performance of the wiper blades has been affected by whatever additive you use in your washer bottle or the type of glass protection you use? It's definitely worthwhile cleaning them down regularly when you consider the crap they clean from the screen, especially in summer months with all the dead flies.
Bosch never last for me, only use water in the washer bottle and have a sealant on the window to save using the wipers too but still 6 months max before they go funny, same on the gf's car and she does no mileage and only water in the bottle and sealant on the windscreen.
I just bought some Valeo aero wipers, will see how they last.
Much cheaper than Bosch but still a good brand.
We're did you pick them up john
Halfords in blanch, used my axa card too for a 10% discount.
Had those on the 325 4 or 5 years ago, took them off after a few daysQuote:

Hopefully they've improved them since
(Bosch super plus twin pack with the spoiler drivers side are still the ones
to buy for an E46)
Valeo Silencio on the M6. Love them, much better than Bosch.
Tried then yesterday and they are perfect. The car is only used for commuting to work now so gets used a lot less. Hopefully they will last.Quote:
