I've installed BT in my E46 but i have the mic poking out of the headliner in front of the Mirror. Its barely noticeable but its annoying my OCD.
What is the OEM location for a non-sunroof headliner ?
Ive seen a little speaker grille in the sunroof panel on some cars and the Vert has a different dome light with a speaker grille. What about the non-sunroof saloon?

Iv never seen a non sunroof with a mic id suggest buying the little speaker grill from bmw and cutting the exact size from the roof liner using a scalpel cut it a touch smaller so it sits snug

There is a small rectangular plastic piece in the headlining roughly where the sunroof buttons would be I think. Will try to take a photo of it in the 330, which has factory BT. It's a size not dissimilar to the interior light.
