Dilemma- Car change or not

So a bit of a dilemma, as I'm over here in the UK with the car still on Irish plates and Irish Europe insurance until I start onsite at start of sept. I have 2 options;

1; keep car and put on eng plates.
Get vrt refund : €1000
But UK plates are I think ~£200 conformity check, ~£50 mot, ~£50 for plates and ~£250 for tax so pretty much wipes out the vrt refund but a lot of hassle.

2; sell car, brother might take it off me for cheap, his car gets passed to uncle as a spare car then buy a car over here cheaply and bigger engine [emoji16]

So any opinions?

Option 2, your will stay in the family and I'm sure you could buy it back if it becomes necessary to.

Option 2 and throw a v8 on top you only live once and nows the time to do it

Decision has been made for me, moving to London In 4 weeks, car going back home, going to be weird not driving for the next 6 months :(
