Are you sure it’s the rack and not the steering coupler/u-joint? I know these can cause sloppy steering too.Quote:

Purple tag rack can make your ACS a little confused and some say they've found it abit funny. Can code it to suit on an late mk60 car. The older MK20 can't be coded but I've traction control always off anyway so makes no odds
