E46 M54 No start EML CEL and DSC on

I'm gutted to say the least, went to start the car and no joy

EML/CEL and DSC on
Fuel pump replaced about 14 months ago - I can hear it prime at key position 2
New alternator and battery about 6 months ago
Only other issue I've had in the last 12 months was some vacuum leaks
car turns over but does not fire

Codes read that multiple fuses were throwing errors - it pointed to the ECU - not his area of expertise so he had a specialist look at it, he reported back that some fuses looked like they were not sitting right and some cabling under the scuttle toward the ecu had come loose

Car was running and I when i picked it up a CEL light was on,codes read - steering position monitor and fuel vent - cleared those,car drove fine so headed for home - stopped for petrol,when starting threw up a CEL again, but started first turn no idle issue and got back to the house , running fine........next morning lo and behold EML/CEL and DSC with no start

Has anybody come up against this and got a resolution without remortgaging the caravan ?
