Using MFSW on 2005 E87

I have a 2005 e87 118d with Multi Function Steering Wheel, professional radio with bluetooth and an aux-in port.

I listen to music from iPhone via the 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable to aux-in, but all track switching etc is done on the phone which is not ideal. I can control the volume and switch via sources (cd/radio/aux-in) through the MFSW.

I tried using a BMW bluetooth application for iPhone which was supposed to stream music via bluetooth & allow me to change tracks via MFSW but apparently the 2005 professional radio bluetooth doesn't have that function - it's the ones after 2007 that have it.

Is there a way to stream music via the aux-in port of my car and switch the tracks and playlists with my steering-wheel? Any other suggestions to get this working?
