BMW 320d M Sport E90

Posting this on behalf of a mate, if that's not allowed then ill take it down

BMW 320d E90 M Sport for sale.
Red with black leather interior.
All usual MSport extras.
Mileage is 159k miles.

Bought this car 5 years ago with 45k miles from the UK. Well minded and serviced every 10k miles. Driven from Tipp to Portlaoise via M7 16 days a month for work. Mostly motorway mileage.

Swirl flap blanks fitted when car bought. Other recent work includes: fresh turbo fitted, new front discs fitted, rear callipers replaced, full service, just had front and rear bumpers, spoiler and roof fin resprayed to refresh appearance. Car well maintained during ownership. Very clean car all round for year. Interior immaculate. NCT until mid 17.

Genuine car. First to see will buy.
Straight sale only. No swaps or part exchange.
Asking €5,995 will do good deal for genuine buyer.

Was told to reduce the price on this to €4,995, the owner is between here and the UK so will take a good offer.

It really is a genuine car with lots of recent work carried out.

What's this worth guys? Owner really wants to move it on but has only had timewasters so far

I picked a non m sport up for under 4 with 123k miles on the clock if this helps

I would have thought it was worth at least 4.5k in this condition and with the recent amount of work carried out, he's spent around 1.5k on it in the last few months, it's a really good example but the milage is probably putting a lot of people off.

But I know i'd much rather a genuine one 160k than a clocked one with 100k!

4.5 be my bottom on it to I wouldn't want any less. Leave it at 5 it's not for sale that long is it ?

If he wants a quick sale, it'll have to stand out amongst similar age and mileage cars

It may not be easy for him to do so, with travelling etc, but pictures in better daylight would help. Along with one or two well light interior pictures.
Not sure how much it would effect the thoughts of the general public, but perhaps remove the ///M badge and stick back on standard plates....either may give off a 'boy racer' image...perhaps not, but it wont do any harm in maximizing potential buyers

All valid points Curran, will mention to him. Better pictures and more interior pics would definitely help.

I'd say if it was almost any other color and it would be gone already but there is a lid for every pot!!

Are red cars not faster?? :p If it had a - D - reg, it'd be gone too :p

A few subtle changes and it would be a very nice car - a change of the style of wheels, a black for the rear bumper valance

Agreed the color coding on the back would turn me off but it should still sell, always a market for these cars.

How is 160,000 miles high on a '05 diesel? It's average miles if anything!

Yes, but it's high miles

2005 = 11 years @ 15,000 average for diesel users = 165,000

Looks like average usage to me.

Id be questioning it if it had 60-70 or cautious if it was +200,000

Mileage is nothing but one factor to look at when inspecting a car.

But anyone buying an '05 car is expecting average miles. If they want sub-100k they will have to wait a while and pay more than €4500 for it so I really don't see how the milage is an issue

Yawn. Back OT, nice looking machine, hoping the owner gets his asking and doesn't take to long to sell

(By the by, I didn't say mileage was an issue, simply that it would have to stand out from other similar cars)

This car was in my list of cars.. what took it out for me was the mileage, the colour and unfortunately that he has painted the car in places.. it's hard to match red.. but that's all personal preference. I went e60 after but I though the price was on the money

Lads red is the best BMW colour by a long shot you can't beat fully dressed and polished red on a BMW it's oozes goodness

Cheers for the comments, i understand what you mean about matching red but ive seen the car in person and its a very good match, the rear diffuser was painted by previous owner so my mate decided to leave it that way but i'm sure it could be restored to black again or repainted if new owner wanted to.

I agree, big fan of red BMW's!
