Hi All,
Looking to get a gearbox in a '06 Opel Astra Twin Top 1.6 repaired/reconditioned/replaced. Not sure of exact fault but it's essentially Fubar'd. As a knowledgeable group, any recommendations? Heard good things about Mr Gearbox in Finglas.

Autotranz in Walkinstown, have used them a couple of times with zero issues. Pat is a very nice fella too.

Got my hands on the car at the weekend, whining noise coming from gearbox when not on power. Suspect bearing failure, common problem apparently on these. Hoping end bearing can be changed out otherwise it's a gearbox rebuild (or secondhand box as suggested previously)
