So looks like BMW finally listened to me...
But not quite...
I’ve ranted on several times about how BMW should make a “baby M” type of car, like the e30 318is was back in its’ day.
They seem to have delivered something but sort of missed the mark (for me), in the new 128ti.
It’s kind of in the direction of what I had in mind except it’s a front wheel drive not hatch rather than a chuckable rear wheel drive with an LSD. Funnily enough it’s almost exactly the power I said it should have :p
Thoughts? Does it do it for you?
I really like how these look from the back but that’s about it really...

FWD can be fun too. And I’m sure BMW have enough overall experience to make it dynamically appealing (which top gear review suggests).
Look wise - pretty generic. Nothing to hate really, but nothing to love either.
I think the main problem will be price. I would expect north of 60k here - way too much for a warm hatch.
Edit: I’ve just checked bmw website and M135i is 52k, so this one should be what - around 40? Not that bad...

The new 1 series is a Mini, I still think the choice is satisfied by used M135i/M140i.
