M50b25 pipe question

Does any one out there know what this pipe is for its wrecking my head and can't figure out where it goes or what it was for. The engine is out of a 96 or 95 e34 . It goes in under the throttle body and is connected there to it.

Also i have a spare plug that does nothing has it got some to do with this pipe

Knock sensor?

If it's connected to the throttle body it could have been for ASC? To cut power from the engine when you get wheel spin.

Cheers lads i figured it out at last. There both for the charcoal canister thingy that vents fuel gas or some thing like that. Il just block it and happy days i think.

the pipe is for trothle boddy heater.
its thermostadt goes in air filter box.
