Hi all, have business nav in my E60 (2008) and have 2016 maps (dvd).
The system seems to have alot of trouble with its location and most of the time it tracks off the road or on different roads to the one I'm actually on.
Is it just a rubbish system or does it sound like somethings up with it?

It's likely to be a GPS antenna problem. I had this problem with my retrofitted set up in the 630i. A new antenna resolved the issue.
Hopefully it's something they can resolve, I swear this car has spent more time at the main dealer than on my driveway...not much of the original parts left.

Tbh, it's under warranty, so BMW are currently looking into it

How do you find the business Nav... ? when it’s working right of course..
Thinking of retrofitting nav at some stage.. business nav would obviously be a lot cheaper but curious to know if it’s worthwhile or should I look for professional nav.
Hey John, it's handy to have I find, just to show where you are and what roads are coming up etc. Inputting addresses it's fiddly and the one in my car is still not working right.
Its going back again to the dealer next week to try troubleshoot and fix it. It's running on 2016 maps, but still isn't great.
I had a new 520d as a loan car a couple of weeks ago when the car was in again for the 45th time and it was in a different league to the E60, the nav was quick and really easy to use
Good to know, thanks Donal. I’ll keep an eye out for a deal in the new year... ideally Pro Nav.
The LCI units(1-8 memory buttons)seem a lot harder to come by.
