    E90 Headlight Upgrade

I’m fairly sure the answer to this will be no, but does anyone know if there is such a thing as aftermarket lights for an e90 that are an improvement on the OEM lights?

I drive my wife’s 2014 corsa occasionally and getting back into my 2007 325i everything feels better than the corsa, except the headlights. They are absolutely awful. I wonder if a good head torch might be a better bet.

My car has the OEM Xenons, which I believe are at least better than halogens, but they’re still atrocious.

I’m sure an upgraded bulb would improve things. Probably from Osram or similar.

Are these new bulbs you put in or are have they been there for years? Xenon bulbs do lose some brightness over time but should still be at least as good as halogens.

Fitted them when I bought the car in November 2019, don’t recall the lights ever being good.

    You could try these:

I just replaced the projectors in my e46 with the same ones and the difference is night and day, literally. If it's not the bulbs then it's probably the reflective layer on the lights that's gone.

Have a look at what I posted here:

They look interesting. If it’s the projector layer gone would a new set of oem headlights improve it? Reason I ask is the plastic has a slight yellow tint and the retaining clip for one of the bulb covers is broken, so it’d be an excuse to just buy new ones, if that’ll fix it?

Ya a new set would fix it. Would you find them cheap enough? Do you mean brand new or second hand? If second hand it'd be hard to know if they're ok.

Tbh I’d be happy enough to go brand new, I can’t see myself stumping up for a new car any time soon

Ya fair enough. Maybe you should take out a headlight and check it before buying a new one though. Just to make sure that's what's wrong with them.
