€20k to spend on a run around - what would you have ??
As above people - all suggestions welcome.
Brand loyalty aside - Preferably a diesel but not a deal breaker otherwise. 2008 onwards for lower tax purposes would be great but again not a deal breaker. Engine size 2.0 to 3.0 but anything considered in reality. Coupe, saloon, estate....
What do you like the look of out there, or what have you heard good things about ???
e92 335d M-Sport. You are well in budget for that! And would be pretty sweet! I'm quite confident you would have to resort to the UK market for a decent one, or probably to find one at all!

E30 M3 and a 1.2 Clio
I was nearly going to say E30 M3 and a bus ticket, but thought that might tip you over the edge John
Seriously though, it's the way forward and the best of both worlds IMO. Who wants to be stuck on the M50 in traffic or worrying about parking dents from the supermarket in an M3? And who wants to be hooning about up in the mountains in an old underpowered shed?
Purely a run around I would have a 535d or X5 35d version or Audi Q7, something along those lines. Comfort all day long but then a bit of power when needed and you can stuff the 5 a side team in there for a road trip too.

The purchaser is my brother, and at the moment he has his heart set on an Audi A5 coupe 3.0 TDI. They're a good lookin car granted but I'm trying to mix it up for him.
