As above anyone have a purple tag rack and pinion laying about my steering feels a bit sloppy .

Are you sure it’s the rack and not the steering coupler/u-joint? I know these can cause sloppy steering too.

If it is steering rack, you could try wills wheels up north (I bought a purple rack from here) or this guy on adverts. He’s a nice guy to deal with and probably still has a purple rack

Thanks mate , column joints all seem fine but I’ve definitely got lift in the rack ,I’ll give that lad a shout

Purple tag rack can make your ACS a little confused and some say they've found it abit funny. Can code it to suit on an late mk60 car. The older MK20 can't be coded but I've traction control always off anyway so makes no odds

Did you buy the 03 Silver Grey M3? If so, at least you will be able to code it, that has the Mk60
